5-minute quickstart

Sign up, add a venue and a menu, paste two lines on your site. Take your first enquiry today.

Five minutes, four steps. By the end you'll have a live configurator on your site and a test lead in your dashboard. Nothing here requires a card.

1. Create your account

Sign up at quote.innkept.com/register. We'll ask for your name, email, password, and the name of your venue or catering business. You start on the Free plan with 5 leads/month and 1 location — enough to validate the demand on your site before paying for anything.

You'll be asked to verify your email. Open the inbox, click the link, you're in.

2. Add a location

From the dashboard, open Locations → Add location. Fill in:

  • Name — what guests will see, e.g. "The Old Barn".
  • Address — used on the proposal and for directions.
  • Capacity range — minimum and maximum guest count this venue takes.
  • Event types — wedding, corporate, private dining, birthday, other.

If you only operate from one venue, you only need one location and the configurator will skip the location-picker step.

3. Add at least one product and one menu

The configurator needs something to sell. The fastest path is:

  • Products → New — add "Venue hire" as flat at your hire fee, marked default so it's pre-selected.
  • Menus → New — name it ("Wedding feast 2026" or similar), then add a couple of menu items as per_guest.

Want to skip ahead and see what good looks like? Log in as demo@innkept.com / password on a fresh install — that account has a fully populated venue called The Old Barn.

4. Paste the embed snippet on your site

Open Embed in the dashboard. You'll see two lines of HTML:

<div id="innkept-quote"></div>
<script src="https://quote.innkept.com/embed/v1/loader.js"
        data-key="pk_live_xxx"
        async></script>

Paste them anywhere in your HTML — usually on a /book or /enquire page. The widget mounts into the div and inherits its width. Platform-specific guides: Squarespace, Wix, WordPress.

5. Submit a test lead

Open the page on your site (or use the dashboard's preview link). Walk through the configurator yourself with your own email — pick a date a few months out, choose a menu, fill in the contact form.

Within seconds you should see:

  • A new entry in Leads with status new.
  • A new entry in Quotes with the full breakdown — subtotal, VAT, total.
  • A proposal link at /p/{token} — click it to see what your guest will see.

What's next

  • Connect a calendar so guests can't pick dates you're already booked: Calendars & availability.
  • Connect a CRM so leads show up where your team already works: How push works.
  • Add a pricing plan covering your weekend uplift, peak-season pricing, lead-time inflation and key dates — all in one place: Pricing plans.
