Deposits (coming soon)
Stripe Checkout and GoCardless rails for collecting a deposit from the proposal page.
Deposits are coming, not shipping. The proposal page has a deposit button stub today. The Stripe Connect rail is in development and will land in a future release. Email hello@innkept.com if you want early access.
What the feature will look like when it ships:

How it'll work
- Configure deposit rules per location: percentage or flat amount, single payment or instalment schedule.
- Connect your Stripe or GoCardless account from Settings → Payments.
- The proposal page shows a Pay deposit button next to the total.
- Guest clicks, completes Stripe Checkout (card) or GoCardless (DD mandate).
- Quote status flips to paid, lead status auto-advances to won.
- Receipt email sent to the guest, payment confirmation pushed to your CRM.
What it won't be
- Not full final-payment processing — we collect deposits, not the final balance.
- Not invoicing — we'll create receipts but not formal VAT invoices. Use your accounting software for that.
- Not refunds — refunds happen in your Stripe or GoCardless dashboard, not here.
Today, in the meantime
Most operators handle deposits manually:
- Send a Stripe Payment Link or GoCardless link via the proposal comments.
- When paid, manually flip the lead to won in the dashboard.
- Update your CRM as you would normally.
It's a small amount of friction now and an obvious feature gap. We're aware.
